Some other random things:
-Cereal is better without milk (I know at least one other person here agrees with me on this :V)
-I think humans are naturally inclined towards morality - evil is the exception rather than the rule.
-Fandoms in general receive way too much flack, and often purely because they - or even a handful of fans - committed the unforgivable crime of being 'cringey'. What even is cringey, anyway? Just let em like what they like. If a 12-year-old Sonic fan can feel expression by drawing themselves as a janky Sonic recolour, leave them to it!
-I don't think Disney's live-action remakes are that bad, either. At least not the ones I've seen. Again, just like the Star Wars sequels, I don't think they're bad, they're just okay. And let's face it, they wouldn't be making them if they didn't think people would want to see them.
-I think rock music is overrated, and the scene in general is rife with snobbery. Heck, most music genres have their fair share of loud snobs. I do like some rock, but not as much as electronic music or jazz. Heck, I don't even think dubstep is that bad.
-As a corollary to the above, 'overrated' does not automatically equal 'bad' - seeing people conflate the two is v. irritating.
-I'm all for technological progress, but 'it's the future' is not a valid reason for developing some new technology.
-On the flipside, I never understood all the hysteria around A.I. Worrying that A.I. poses an existential risk to humanity is like worrying about overpopulation on Mars when we haven't even set foot there yet (to paraphrase one person that I forget who they are).
-I will never understand people who are only capable of relating to human (or human-looking) characters. Emotionally human I get, but physically human?
-I'm tired of video game heroes who use swords. Gimme a mace, damnit. Or a polearm. Or hell, some neat martial arts skills. It's unrealistic to expect someone to punch out a 20-foot-tall aberration, but that's the joy of fiction for yer. It's no less unrealistic than games where you can slash people thousands of times with a giant sword and only 'KO' them.
-I don't like anime that much, and I find a lot of the common tropes in anime kinda baffling. Probably because I'm an Englishperson, but yeah.
-Speaking of which, I think Americans give us way too much credit. :V
-Idealism and trust are underrated. Cynical platitudes like 'everyone's only out for themselves' or 'people only do X to score social points' are a good sign the person saying them is either bitter or are themselves trying to look cool and edgy to score social points.
-'Unpopular Opinions' threads invariably devolve into massive rubbish fires. And yes, I'm well aware that me saying that on this thread makes me a massive hypocrite. :V
