This is just my opinion:

If you feel insecure, try to exercise regularly, you will respect your body more.

Songs have an era. And now is the era of Kpop songs, so don't be bothered you can hear Korean songs everywhere. But Korean songs will also disappear over time.

@Kotak_Karya I don't know. Eras last a long time. My formative music years were the 80s, but that still included songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s because that is what my older siblings and mom listened to. I still listen to songs from those time periods along with an eclectic mix of 90s till today.

Music has a way of sticking around with generations influencing several subsequent generations.

But I get your point. It won't be as prevalent.

Was at our astronomy club meeting a few weeks ago. Just as we were getting finished, the president asked "Anything else?" and one of our guys raised his hand and said "Pluto is a planet."

Depending on who you ask, that’s actually a pretty popular opinion. Part of me does understand, but another part recognizes that Pluto is no less interesting as a dwarf planet. New Horizons didn’t get to Pluto until well after it had been reclassified and it really illuminated how strange and interesting a place it is. Tholins…its tholins drifting over to Charon. The Tombaugh Regio. To think of the mostly featureless Hubble images we had before the New Horizon’s photo drop, what a glow up!

The real issue was the boon of discovering so many other transneptunian objects similar to Pluto. Either they were all planets or none of them were. I think the reclassification was more about keeping things neat and tidy, though I suppose we could have just “grandfathered” Pluto in with the planets.

Fictional stuff I'm fine with, but I can't stand the thought of a real person doing that to themselves...

I find there to be such a difference between fictional and real when it comes to pornography I no longer think of them as the same thing.

Which on that note; I have no problem with the existence of sex workers or the existence of the porn industry. What is a problem is when people are forced into jobs they don't want and/or are not suited for effectively against their will. When the latter combines with the former, you just have [a word I'm not sure I can say on these forums] but with more steps.

Between the discovery of Pluto and the classification it wasn't a planet, it hadn't rotated around the sun a single full time.

@kirbwarrior Yeah most people have that popular opinion of that industry. However, this thread is for UNpopular opinions, and my very unpopular opinion has been formed by both first and second hand experience... which I will give a sample of under the spoiler. It's not pretty.

Nothing makes a person feel more exploited, objectified, or enslaved like being a part of that. I thought I had something worth sharing, but ended up being disgraced, abused, and several attempts were made to inject me with who knows what (I mean via needle, not what you're thinking!).
I met someone a few years ago who was a.... I'm not calling it that... She saw the 'work' for what it was after countless 'customers' attempted to intoxicate, rape, and even defecate on her. She's unfortunately contracted HIV and suffers from PTSD.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything... it's just a very traumatic past experience for me and I fear others will suffer too if they fall for the same traps of pleasure that have absolutely no guarantee of safety.
