Graphically this looks amazing! Reminds me of Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery.

Thanks! That was my original inspiration for the style - I still have so much work to do to get it to look right. :)

Updated the post again - the visual style is more apparent in the new screenshot. Quite happy with how it looks now. :) !

Sure thing, I'll keep you in mind! :guffaw:

I'm a long way from even having a demo right now though.

Just a small update with a new screenshot - I've fallen behind with the development but the ideas are still brewing!  D:<

A shiny update featuring the initial sprite work for the different Callings! Pretty happy with how they turned out but it's still early days. Lots to do!

This looks very nice. It reminds me heavily of Sword and Sworcery, which I understand was a great hit, having sold over 1.5 million copies.

Thank you! I appreciate the comparison (if only!)

Update: Reworked the synopsis, the ideas are taking shape.

I can't wait to see how this turns out! I love the style, and the idea of the gameplay, especially mixing classes.

Updated my example music - I think I'm getting a little bit better. Still have a lot of development and practice until things are how I want them. :)

I listened through the music you had made. They sound very good! I was trying to see in my mind how the game (graphics mainly) works with the music and I'd say I look forward to seeing how things will turn out. A nice touch to composing you have there! There was variation and movement, some dynamic movement too. Good stuff.

I guess you are quite early in the production but when can we look into seeing something moving?

Thanks for that! :) You're right with being very early in production but I have posted up a GIF of it in it's current state for you to see. It's not much but you can get an idea of what I'll be going for in how I make my maps etc.

Did you post it there before? Apologies if you did.. Didn't see it moving yesterday. I bet it will look really cool once there is some animation added in! Keep up the good work :)

So I have a lighter work schedule next week. Is that a sign to move on to MZ?
I got a new rpg idea yesterday, titled "The Hero We Summoned to Save Us is a War Criminal from our Past?!"
Work on Yanfly's MZ plug-ins is coming along nicely. Looking forward to getting them: http://www.yanfly.moe/wiki/Core_Engine_VisuStella_MZ
