How do I upload a game I want downloaded? What about for a game that I want played in the browser?

The upload of a standalone game is the same as any other game upload: you upload the exe or the archive depending on how you created it.

The upload as a browser game is even simpler as long as you have FTP access to a Website: create a folder and upload the content of the www folder into the Website folder.
However, this usually requires you to have a paid Website of your own, as freehosters usually don't allow FTP access.

Thank you. I compressed my game, checkmarked off encryption and rtp boxes, but got this message when I try to upload the game to itch.io as downloadable: "There was a problem completing your upload. Try again. If the problem persists contact support."

I've contacted itch.io about this, but haven't gotten any replies yet.

Be aware that Ace games cannot be played in a browser, only MV games can do that. As you have posted in the Ace forum, I assume that's what you have.

Then you can not play in the browser, and for distributing simply upload the installer you get when compressing the game.
