Hi everybody, well, I have a really big problem with my project, that's what happened:

I was working in my game, and I was starting the playtest, exactly at this moment, there was a small energy cut and the computer turned off, I turned on again and I tried to open the program when a advice appeared:

There is a problem with the Tileset data

My reaction to that was: Create a new project, go to Data folder, copy the Tilesets file and paste in in my project's data folder

I thought I'd fix that but a new advice appeared when I opened the project again:

There is a problem with the System data

I did the same thing I did when the Tileset data window mistake appeared, I tried again a new advice appeared telling: "There is a problem with the Map info data" and I did exactly the same thing.

Well, I could open my project after all, but the problem is: ONLY APPEARED THE WORLD MAP!!! I have been working with a slow and quite unconstant step for almost a year, but I had almost enoungh material for a demo, now when this happened I felt really... sad ;_; I tried to playtest and something interesting happened: the maps didn't dissapeared in playtest mode, I mean, I can access to the maps via playtest but I can't see them in edit mode. That makes me thing I can solve this problem but I really don't know how, those maps appear in Data folder so I guess it's allright, but how can I make those maps visible in the editor again, I feel really annoyed and sad about what happened (it's one year of work lost :distrust: ) is there someone has suffered the same problem? how can I fix it? Do I have to restart the project again?

Thanks by reading this :D

It could be that your map data got corrupted due to the interruption...

The mapinfos file is what tells RPG Maker what maps exist. The maps themselves should still be in your data folder. Copy them somwhere else, and in your game project, make as many blank maps as you need to get to the map count you have before. You'll need to name and re-order your maps again as well.

Once that is done, close RPG maker and then copy your old maps in the data colder again, overwriting the new files. Now open RPG Maker again, your maps should be back.

The map infos is what RPG maker uses to display your map in the editor (as in, it tells it what file has a name, and what the file for it is called, as well as tilesets and what not). by doing this, you're resetting it to as it was before, and all should work fine.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
