Not sure if I`ll be able to use it in the game, but damn man, that was beautiful. I shed some tears while listening to it.

BY the way, what is a fortnight?

Two weeks, but I'm changing the rules cause I love composing and it was only for when I get really busy. ^_^

Well, then I got a question, not a request.

How would you progress if you were to make something for a main character that is enraged about something?

How would I progress? Well, it would start calm, and then get worse and worse as it progressed until a full rage-quit. I don't think I understood your question. :p

Maybe if I word it differently.

The protagonist meets an enemy who uses his fathers weapon and armor. As in "pillaged his corpse".

Oh, geez. Well, it would be sad at the beginning as he realizes and remembers the death of his father or realizes his father has been killed and that his armor. Then he would be shocked, and then furious. The three stages of this piece's story. He won't calm down by the end of the song. He'd go mad and it would finish sudden and fierce after going through a rage and who knows what he does to the enemy.

Or, another ending would be intense and then it becomes calmer and calmer and then sad once again.

Hm, interesting.

OKay, another hypothetical question:

Main character enters an abandoned village. Like, it has been ravaged by war and there`s nothing living in it. What kind of music do you think would be suitable for it?

It would include strings and piano definitely, and it would pull on the player's heartstrings. It would be a sad theme as well as them being a little shocked by the sight they've came across. Throughout the piece, the strings will intense and the player realizes more and more of the slaughter and destruction. There are possibly two endings to this. One, it ends sadly erupt and then becomes bad-ass like he wants revenge. Two, the strings become piano (quiet) and then we are left really with the piano melody which will slowly and sadly fade out, ending the song. ^_^

Can you make a happy fantasy overworld theme based off of this song? (It's mine, just in case you're wondering). And yay sparkles!!! :)

No, that map is not official, it's just a base. I wouldn't make something that hideous. :)

I'm guessing that is in Trebel Clef, right? So, what key would that be considering you composed it. It would just save me some time to get my instrument out and figure it out myself.

Sorry, it's just a script, I'm not the Music Queen, I usually go by ear.... >.<

It took me a while to figure it out too.

After much configuration and transposing, here you are! What you originally had wasn't very happy and I couldn't work with it for an over-world theme that you wanted a) happy, and B) fantasy. So, I transposed (simple form: changed notes) to make your notes much happier. I've imported the notes into a piano melody, as piano is my main expertise. I thought about your game and I've also incorporated each of the piano notes in the melody individually as well as together in a loop to replace with your current sounds.

Here you are, Rimmintine! Your Happy Overworld Fantasy Tune request is complete! Tell me what you think.

Here are the Notes and the Looped Melody.

I didn't request that tune, but I found it quite nice to listen to anyway.

It's a little too happy, but I'll use it in a major town though since you went through the trouble to make it. :)

The Happy Overworld fantasy tune.

Edit:

The protagonist approaches the enemy king. Then the king exclaims how that he has not only fooled the protagonist into a trap, he`s been playing him like a puppet since the very beginning.

Got any ideas on how to portray through music?

The Happy Overworld Fantasy Tune was for Rimmintine... ^_^

Already, well it would already be like dungeon music and then when he approaches the king, it would get a little bit more boss battle dungeon theme and then when he mentions the trap and puppet, intense repeated strings come in to portray the character is horrified and shocked.

No, of course not. That would be lovely. ^_^ You're just not allowed to use in your games if they are from other people. You can listen though. :)

Are you sure you don't need to request anything? :p
