Just fooling with the system. I made a skill that gives the enemy a confusion state and tourettes. If you hit with this skill, the enemy is confused for two turns and a common event is called in which a random insult is spewed from the opponent. I don't know. Thought it was funny...

This is kinda funny, would you share the common script for this?

Okay:

Commen Event:

Variable: Tourette (RAND) between 0 and 20.

Conditional branch: If less than or equal to 4:

type insult here

     else

Conditional branch: If less than or equal to 8

type insult here

     else

And you just keep going to 20.

Why did I put so much space between the numbers? I dunno. It just made sense to give each insult more than one chance of occurring in the randomization at the time.

Skill, add state confusion, call common event: tourettes...

Be sure to put the variable as the very first thing to happen. So it is randomized every time before the event runs down  the conditionals.

I worked with a lady who had that. Nicest girl you'd ever meet and a very funny person to boot, but It's sad what that condition does to people and how hard it makes their lives.

I'd rather just make an array of insults then randomize the index rather than multiple if-then-elses... hahahahaha...

It just made sense to give each insult more than one chance of occurring in the randomization at the time.
Actually, that is false... since each was still evenly spaced at 4, they still have the same chances of being drawn as if you just did it as 1 to 5... since 4/20 chance is the same as 1/5...

I wouldn't do it - you're playing into stereotypes and marginalizing the people who truly have TS. Only a small percentage of people who have it, have the vocal tic of 'saying obscene words', whereas most of the people have strange motor tics they can't control such as blinking excessively, clearing your throat all the time, or weird hand movements etc.

If you want to be funny, let's not do it at the expense of people with TS. Just simply have the state confuse the character and suddenly everything he says is an insult. For example, this man, in the real world, utters the most insulting and obscene words ... in his sleep.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
