Using a Laptop In-Game as if it were the real thing?

The Title says it in as easy a way as I can put it, now to elaborate on why I am making a thread and what I am asking for advice on.

I've an Item in this project I've been working on for a while, which is a Laptop. Nothing more, nothing less-And I'd like to have the player have the ability to actually use it and for a Common Event(Possibly) to reproduce the feeling one would get when they are actually using a computer. So, a wallpaper as background, that still sounds easy enough-but granting access to folders such as "Documents", "Images" and the such, is what I am stuck on. I could pull it off with some choices but said option could also feel... Less real than handling an actual computer. (While also being the easiest method of pulling this off.)

And so here I am, asking for advice on something as silly as this when I could maybe try and settle for easier alternatives, but hey, I'd like to at least try my damnedest and make this worth my while...

Do you really think there's a single Plugin or simple Event Command for this? Nope sorry, I'm afraid this request is more difficult than you expected. You should open a JS Plugin Request for that, maybe paid, and add some images so others can understand what exactly you wish.

You could probably make something close to a laptop using HTML. I've done something similar myself. Much easier than writing plugins yourself (if you don't have enough coding experience for rmmv) Or you can hire someone to make a plugin for you.

The background is doable enough with pictures. The biggest problem would probably be making clickable folders(assuming you want mouse interaction). I know that in MZ there's a plugin (included as a default in the dlc folder, I think... unless I'm remembering wrong) that gives you pictures as clickable buttons. But that's MZ, not MV... and I believe the method that plugin uses isn't available in MV.

Never thought there'd be anything simple, really. Plenty of experienced peeps around to give hope, however. Before I resort to Plugins I'll see if there really is no other way around it.

HTML is probably the closest to a possible solution I can achieve on my own, I've a -sliver- of basic knowledge at least. Many thanks, I'll see what I can do.

Crud. I know mouse interaction is still doable in MV, I know you can move around by clicking for starters-but that's the extent of my knowledge of it. I might give this another search now that you've given me some additional information I wasn't aware of, maybe I can still learn something off it. If I give it enough time at least. Thanks!

you mean picture common events? part of yanfly's paid plugins.
mv doesn't normally do click trigger events. best could do without plugins is parallel if key pressed checks

No, I was talking about ButtonPicture by Yoji Ojima, included in MZ, at least for me. Shows up in any new project I create.

Theoretically click handling CAN be done in MV... but would probably need the clickable sprite class from MZ added, I believe that's what ButtonPicture uses, which is why I said it probably wasn't compatible with MV, at least not on its own. I know my RETRO project dealt a little with clickable sprites in the latest update, but I don't know if it would make ButtonPicture compatible on its own, it wasn't the plugin I was testing with when I worked on that part.
