So as I've been putting together various tilesheets with gimp, I notice that there are some tiles that occur with such great frequency no matter whether I'm making tilesheets for exterior, interior, or dungeon areas....things like rocks and flowers (and all their many variations and placements), barrels, urns, etc.

And an idea just hit me--wouldn't it be better to put these common objects into character sheets, so that they could be placed (via an event) on any map?

Not only would this free up space in one's tilesheets, but it would save time from having to transplant all of the same common types of objects every time one wants to make a new tilesheet for a new desert area, mountain area, hill area, etc. etc.

I feel like there must be some drawback to this or else surely this would've been thought of before, so what am I missing?

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
