So, am many know, I am new to this. I am using the HIgh Fantasy Packs. Currently, I am wondering 2 things. Why is there no turtorials or videos showing how to use these and where exactly each thing goes and  how to use them, such as the Battle Sheets showing the character using different weapons? I have been messaging with PVG and he has taught me alot, but there is so much more to learn.  Second, I have created my first map and used large trees on them. My character can't walk past these. He can walk over them  with the Trees being in the background, but he can't walk around or behind them. Do I need to make these trees as events instead of using the tiles? Is there a script for this since I currently can't write my own? Just needing a little help.

(Edited) I have changed the passability in the Database and that just makes the actor walk over the trees.

I'm not sure about the battle sheets. The trees, you might need to fix the passability settings in the tileset tab in the database.

Also a tip, that water tile is for things like fountains or ponds you might see in a city, surrounded by cement. It looks very unnatural in the settings you are using it in.

Please show us a screenshot of the tileset with the trees - for trees to work correctly, different parts of the trees need different passabilities, usually blocked for the bottom parts and star passability for the upper parts. (star passability exists only on B-E, you can't place those trees on A5 if you did that)

Usually what I do for trees is make the bottom portion X layer and everything above * passability so the character can move behind them. You will need a tall sprite fix script to use with these tiles as well, otherwise you will have issues with the * passability.

@mlogan: the High Fantasy packs for Ace contain an Ace script for using large sprites, no need to look for a different one.

only for MV they would need a different plugin.

thank you for all the responses... I have changed the passability on the bottom to X and the other parts of the tree to * and now my character is able to walk behind the trees... I am using trees Labeled HF_2_Trees... I have attached the screen shot showing where I put the trees in the DB, a screen shot of the tile opened in Photo Viewer, and showing my character walking behind the trees...  thank you so much for the help... I have also been reading over the beginning tutorials list which is helping alot...

@wolfpak692 Your screenshots look as if you haven't yet installed the Ace script that came with the HF packs - you should do that if you haven't yet.

.@Andar, the only script I can find is the Bonus ZLevel which I have installed now...  I can't find any other scripts in the HF Packs... I have also changed the tiles  I was using for water and now it look better...

You have no idea how much time I spent last night trying to get a Santa hat to fit on my avatar's head. Failure. Head's too small.
I realized recently since my game is still a turn based game, that something like the card game Yomi is a lot closer to what I should try to aim for combat wise. Should also help for those who don't really play fighting games to make things a bit easier to understand. ugh the struggles of trying to show love for my 2 favorite genres in 1 go lol.
Did a bit of work on the chemistry tiles I want.

Hey There!

My next plugin will be: "Dynamic Temperature Stats"

Now you might be wondering... What does it do?

Well, it's a fascinating plugin that adds a body temperature mechanic to characters.

Holy crap, it's cold. Our heat went out this morning and the repair guy won't get the part needed to fix it at least until tomorrow. Had to be now of all times, when we have stuff to do all week and it's the coldest night of November so far.
