Hi everyone,

I like tile-based mapping, but I have been considering using parallax for quite some tile, simply because i like the liberty that it offers the mapper. That said, the fact that mapping this way takes infinitely longer and is somewhat resource heavy is turning me off a bit, so I was considering using the 'best of both worlds'.

What I mean by that is: use the normal editor to make a map. Then save said map, open it in an image editor, add a new layer and just add some details here and there - some mold to the walls, irregular bottles scattered all over the place, that kind of stuff. All minor details, so everything would be behind the player, above the normal map. No collisions or things like that necessary. Then just save said layer and 'project it' onto the map, above the map, under events and the player, under the lighting overlay.

Is that possible? How would I go about it?

Thanks!

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
