I'm having some serious issues with it. I want to make a tactics-type game where you move individual units around the field and fight. I'm trying to implement a function where you can get poisoned by stepping on certain terrain, and I would use regions to help with that. I bound Region 1 with a common event that inflicts poison.

Thing is, there only seems to be an option to inflict it on the entire party or a specific party member, then there are the variables that I don't have much experience with. I want to make it so that it inflicts poison on whoever steps on that tile specifically, but I don't know how. Any help???

The party leader?

If you are using notetags, you could do this:
$gameParty.leader()

If you are using a common event, you could do this:
Control Variables [0018] Leader = Game Data > Party > Member #1's Actor ID
and then use that variable in the command to inflict the state.

If that doesn't help, please provide a screenshot of how you're trying to do this, so it's obvious whether you're using event commands or notetags.

Pokemon AI Logic: "Enemy is weak to Fire, I better use Rain Dance to make fire type moves less effective. I should just always cast Rain Dance first no matter what, even though it's a niche move that I'm not set up to exploit."
