For example, you open up a computer, and lets say you make the player open up a website.

Let's say on that website he has 10 followers. Once he does a mission/something important he gains followers and it changes to 20.
I know it's pretty simple, i've done it once, but I totally forgot how to do it. xD

Edit: Oh god i'm sorry about the title. e.e

This is SO misleading...

Your topic possibly refers to Event IDs, but your post is talking about variables?

You should really edit that and make yourself more clear lol.

computer? website? followers? Are you talking about a quest in a game? Can you be more descriptive and less brief with your example, please? It does sound like you're talking about variables.

Yeah. I'm talking about a quest. Basically, let's say in the beginning of the game you check whatever ex: computer ( this is in-game)  and it says you have 10 followers. Once you get a quest done it changes to any other number like for example 20 followers. Sorry about that.

On whatever event triggers the quest as being complete, just change the variable to 20. Or turn on a switch, then in the computer, check the switch - if it's on, it says you have 20 followers; if it's off, it says you have 10. Or if you can keep accumulating followers, just use a variable instead, then each time a quest is finished that gets you more followers, have it add 10 (or however may extras) to that variable.

Hmm.. i'm sorry. I'm a bit confused, for the variables do I just make a new page each time I want to add 10?

No, you use the control variable command to change a variable's value - the variable options on the pages are conditions, they change nothing but check which values the variables have.

I suggest that you start with the tutorials until you learned how to handle switches and variables.

The link in my signature can guide you to the most important tutorials.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
