    The action sequence in Victor's Battle Motions plugin is coming with the error "undefined is not a function" whenever I attempt to change the battleback mid-sequence
    error.png BM error.png
    copy of the relevant notetags are as such:
    <action sequence: movement>
    target: other targets
    move: user, to target, 15, front
    </action sequence>

    <action sequence: execute>
    opacity: inactive battlers, 0, 80
    wait: user, 80
    tint: lower, black, 80
    battleback: save
    battleback: Clouds, Clouds - !!this generates the error
    wait: active battlers, 4
    tint: lower, clear, 80
    wait: user, 80
    animation: user, 74
    wait: user, animation
    if: user.isStateAffected(17)
    motion: user, thrust
    effect: target, 150%
    wait: user, motion
    motion: user, swing
    move: user, to target, 15, behind
    effect: target, 150%
    wait: user, movement
    direction: user, targets
    motion: user, thrust
    move: user, to target, 15, behind
    effect: target, 150%
    wait: user, movement
    state: user, remove, 17, show
    else
    motion: user, thrust
    effect: target, 120%
    wait: user, motion
    motion: user, swing
    move: user, to target, 15, behind
    effect: target, 120%
    wait: user, movement
    direction: user, targets
    motion: user, thrust
    move: user, to target, 15, behind
    effect: target, 120%
    wait: user, movement
    state: user, remove, 16, show
    end
    </action sequence>

    <action sequence: return>
    opacity: inactive battlers, 255, 80
    tint: lower, clear, 80
    wait: user, 80
    motion: user, return
    move: user, to home, 12
    direction: user, left
    wait: user, move
    motion: user, reset
    </action sequence>

    Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

    Nice to see someone else using this script!

    Have you tried ommiting battleback 2 or using different files altogether? Still the same problem?

    I tried the Darkspace battlebacks as I posted that and I just tried the battleback 2 suggestion; both return the same issue. :(

    EDIT: Adding to this; following Victor's Demonic Summon tutorial to the letter returns the same error on the battleback switch.

    Good news is, i just tested that same thing in my project and it worked just fine..

    Try switching off some plugins, so just have Victors running and then test again.

    I don't know what other plugins you have there.. let me know?

    Also when you "tint: lower, black, 80"

    have a wait user, x. That will give time for the screen to tint. ;-)

    Quite a lot of Victor's plugins (and practically nothing else from what I see)...are they in the wrong order? Glad to know it's likely to be something on my end.

    I see you love VE hehe..

    Try just using basicmodule, battlemotions and battlegraphic in that order plz. - all other plugins set to off and see if error remains.

    Yep, still remains...no idea what's causing it yet?

    EDIT:
    Haha, it's my second project to experiment with his plugins.

    Correct, even disabled active time battle despite that being the main battle format.

    Yes, it's the change in the battleback that causes the error to show up.

    EDIT: the wait suggestion for the tint showed the tint is not doing anything the whole time, but does not cause a developer error.

    Could you do another screenshot of your console on the error when all plugins off except for the three core items I suggested basicmodule, battlemotions and battlegraphic

    Have you changed anything inside the scripts?
    1.
    Try downloading those three again and see if problem persists.
    2.
    Are you putting your notes in the skill notes section in the DB? (I dont use victors notes plugin here fyi)
    3.
    If none of those work I'll need someone else to weigh in on this conversation or you could try contacting Victor direct, he does respond. Confused because it sounds like we have exact same setup, possibly a something simple fix for this..

    Ok, I just re-downloaded them and not touched the parameters, it still persists; I just don't know what you mean by:

    So you're putting your action sequence notes in the notes section of the skill itself?
