This script allows to setup a new cost mechanic for skill: each skill can be used a fixed number of times. Similar to Pokemon games. The skills can be recharged with the Recover All event command or specific tags on items and skill.

I get an error. :/ It says:

Script "Victor Engine - Tech Points" line 295: ArgumentError occured.

comparison of String with 1 failed

Did you make any setting or just copied it? What was the exact thing that triggered the error? Are you using another scripts?

I need more info so i can map this error.

I only copied your Basic Module and this script into my "Project1" test project which I haven't changed anything in. I didn't adjust anything in your scripts either. Should I have? :/

Edit: I redownloaded the scripts a second time, and now I don't get that error anymore. However, I can't seem to set a tech limit. I wrote "<tech limit: 15>" into the notebox of the skill "Heal". Shouldn't it say "Heal 15/15" in the menu then? Or am I doing anything wrong?

The limit is the value that the tech is caped.the actual value will depend on the growth.

Let's say you setup

<tech growth: 5 + level / 5>

<tech limit: 15>

the max value will be 5 + level / 5, so at level 10 it will be 7 (5 + 10 / 5), at level 80 it would be 21 (5 + 80 / 10), but since the limit is 15, it will be caped at 15.

So if I want to have 15/15, I set VE_DEFAULT_TECH_GROWTH = "15" (or anything higher than that) and put <tech limit: 15> into the skill's notebox? All right, that's quite easy. :) The only problem is that it still won't show any numbers next to the skill. It only says "Heal", nothing else (since I set MP costs to 0).

Edit: Okay, nevermind, I figured it out. :)

Actors and Enemies note tags:

That was the problem. I only checked the skill note tags, because I thought "No, don't wanna do anything with the actors". I shall remember to read everything next time. Sorry for keeping you busy here! (But, well, maybe you should put that tag into the skill sections rather than the actors and enemies section for people like me. :D )

And then just one more question which is probably stupid as well: How do I restore the Tech Points?

Since i'm not a seer, i can't help if you don't post YOUR settings, because probably the problem is with wrong setup for the actions.

and skill to put in notes

I have done nothing more

serious kind enough to put it on a demo please? to see that I am wrong.

I need this script for a remake of the sd sntacher

I put in a skill that

<tech skill>

<tech growth: 80>

<tech limit: 80>

and it works well

I see the numbers on the name of the skill

well that the moment but I do not care



the main problem is to recover

if I put this in a skill

<change tech point131: 10>

131 the skill id and 10 recovered,

works

but if I put this on an item

<change tech point 131: 10>

to use it gives me error on line 332

can not convert Symbol Into integer

you can help me with that please?
