So I'm working on a fan game revolving around certain people in real life, as weird as it sounds, and I want to use static graphics for my fighters when they are in battle. I drew my own and used a plugin to make it so my fighters would appear as these bigger, motionless drawings. All was going well until I downloaded a second plug in that added a status window in battle. They both worked together, but whenever I tried to run a battle, it would get horribly laggy. After a while I discovered that since I didn't properly adjust the settings of one of the plugins, they had started to work against each other and caused some serious lag, so I edited them and saw that it worked fine after that... I then saved and closed the program to do something else, but when I came back, it wasn't working anymore. Here is a screenshot of my plug in list

And here's what it looks like now

Excuse the work in progress art, but this is what it looks like now.

It SHOULD be something like this:

I drew those stick figures there with MS paint since I don't have a screenshot of what it used to be.

Here's the settings of the battler plugin settings:

I've made sure that the settings match the ones the tutorial showed, and it still doesn't work, as evident by the shadows showing up on screen. I know those shadows only appear for animated characters, and that the reason why it's blank is because the old picture is still in the system.

I tried switching the battle graphic with an actual animated fighter, and that appears normally, as if this plug in wasn't in effect at all. Can anyone help me? Is there some sort of setting that I've overlooked?

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
