I want a compatibility patch between Victor Engine ATB and Victor Engine CTB with Yanfly's Battle Engine Core.

All I want is a simple plug-n-play plugin that would be place below Yanfly and Victor plugins. It would make it where VE ATB works with YEP Battle Engine Core if both are installed and it would make where VE CTB works with YEP Battle Engine Core if both are installed

While I prefer this to be a single plugin, if you need to make this two plugins then I'm okay with that.

Was gonna ask if this was possible in a new thread, but I'll just bump this one.

Anyone know if this can be done? I really like VE's CTB and I'd love to use it, but it doesn't work at all with any yanfly plugins.

compatibility patches between victor and yanfly are anything but easy to do because those two programmers have different coding styles that are often incompatible - that was even worse in VXA than in MV.

In my opinion it is impossible to do so in a general blanket patch - it is already difficult to do for a very specific combination of plugins (and by that I mean the total plugin list in a game, not between two or three specific plugins ignoring whatever else is in your game).

Isn't that what aliasing is for?

No - Aliasing is to allow different programmers to add to the same default function, but they can still have different programming styles that cause problems especially with large changes to a function.
And sometimes you have no choice but to change a function instead of adding to it...

Dang. That's a pity. If only Kadokawa or Enterbrain or whatever they're calling themselves these days had taken the time to implement some kind of modular scripting features for their target audience.

In the end I choose near over shoulder resembles RE4. Tight close window better. The correlation between battleback, monster style and battler should also be observed and merged.

I'm going to see if I can set up a triple booting setup. Windows for standard use & gaming, debian for linux development and manjaro for linux gaming, wine & proton use.
