Hello there! I seem to have some trouble with Victor's Light Effects Script. I can't seem to get it to work, even though I think I've followed the instructions as close as possible.

Also, when I used Khas's awesome light effects script, (an easier alternative in my opinion), the tint screen option in the event menu (not the script call) refuses to tint the screen. At all.

I'm not using them at the same time, I was trying them out seperately.

I'm so confused, so can somebody please help me?

Khas has a demo. It's drag and drop. Make sure you have your tiles set appropriately...

EDIT: Try this...

s = $game_map.effect_surface

s.change_color(255,0,0,0,128)

EDIT: Try this...

s = $game_map.effect_surface

s.change_color(255,0,0,0,128)
Where do I put that, exactly? Thanks x.x

And see, I got it to work a week ago, but then suddenly the tint screen refuses to work. Furthermore, when I try tinting the screen through the tintscreen

button, it would take a long time, even if I set it at 1 frame and unticked the wait box. Now it jsut won't work :x

event>third tab>advanced>script (Put it here) then set the event to autorun (or parallel process)

That works, but is there a way to speed it up so it's instantaneous? And also, is it possible to change the hue of the tint?

Read the directions in the script...

# s.change_color(time,r,g,b,a)

# Changes the Effect's Surface color and it's opacity in a certain time, where:

# time => The change's time (frames);

# r => red level;

# g => green level;

# b => blue level;

# a => opacity

^The first one is time...

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
