Hello, I'm new to RPG Maker VX Ace.
I decided to use Victor's Actors Battlers Script for my game and during a battle, I want to change my actors graphic.
I'm aware that Victor states that it is possible and how to do it, but I can't figure out what information needs to be
put into which bits.

Here is his explanation on the script.

However, I have tried inputting the information required in numerous different ways, yet I still haven't managed to make the actor graphic change during the battle. The game doesn't even pop up with an error message, it just completely ignores the comment.

This is how I've laid it out for now after the numerous attempts.

I tried using what I believe to be the id number in the database, and variations of it, e.g. 000, 0, 001, 1 etc. but none of those worked, and neither do the actor's image filenames.
I'm hoping someone will know how to make this work, I haven't been able to figure it out. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me.

This is the link to Victor's script page.

'Scripts' is where people who have written a completed script they want to share with the community can post them.

Could you please edit your post to include a link to the web page where you got the script so that people don't have to hunt for it if they need to check something before making a suggestion.
Thanks

You just have to put <> and what's between it, not the rest of the lines. Those are just included to explain to you how to use it.

By the looks of it, you need to put the actor id where id is, so it knows which actor to change.

Code:
<battler name 1: Naika>
So it will change actor 1's battler graphic to use the file called Naika.

That's just a guess. As Kes said, you need to include a link to the full script, or preferably to the page where Victor introduces it and talks about it.

Thank you, I input only the thing you suggested and made the last part be the name of the graphic file that I tried to change it to and it seems to work perfectly. Thank you again for the help.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
