Victors Pixel movement and Galv's Jump Script Problem. Urgent help needed!

    So i have been making a platformer in ACE using Victors Movement and moving platform script with Galvs button jump script and i run into this problem with edges of the wall barriers -

    Basically i need a fix for this so its impossible to land on the edge of these barriers as it allows the player to cheat and stuff.

    In Galv's jump script there's a 'No Jump' region ID, you can find it in this line:

      NO_JUMP_REGIONS = [1,2,3]  # Region ID's that the player cannot jump over

    So if you left it on the default, your player cannot jump on any region 1 2 or 3 tile. Put the barriers as any of those regions and the player won't be able to jump there.

    im starting to wonder if it has to do with the pixel movement script.

    Well that's very odd. Is that line still in your copy of Galv's Jump Script?

    Depending on how many edges they are reaching, try putting an event where you don't want them to jump, and including a comment which says: <block> 

    If that doesn't work, and the region IDs don't work, then it's probably a script compatibility issue. You know that Victor has a jump script too, right? Maybe you should try using that instead of Galv's.

    Also, I recommend you don't post twice in a row in the same topic, the mods might come down on you.

    noted, Victors jump script does the same thing, probally is a script incompatibility darn, this had so much potential!

    One easy possibility you might not have considered - edit the tileset so that the wall tiles that you're jumping onto cannot be stood upon (are impassable).

    Go to 'Tools', then 'Database'. Find the tileset you are using, and change the 'Circle' to an 'X' on the relevant tile by clicking on it. I recommend finding a tutorial for using tilesets, as it's an important part of mapping.
