I do not have a Victory theme in my game, and so the box 'Battle End' on the Systems tab is not checked.
However, the final boss battle is a bit flat without something with a bit of oomph at the end, so I want to have a victory ME play there, and only there. What I have tried so far does not work. It is this.
Common Event set to parallel process and conditioned by the switch 'Battle End' ON
There is a command to play the ME and then turn the switch OFF
In the troop event, at turn 0, I turn the switch 'Battle End' ON.
However, this doesn't play the ME while on the battle screen, but only after the player returns to the map, where other things are happening, so this will not do.
Is there some cunning way of eventing this? Or maybe an exotic script call? Or perhaps something else incredibly obvious which I have managed to overlook?
