Dear RPG Maker VX Ace users,
I'm Josh from Germany, and new to the RPG Maker universe, or game development in general for that matter.
I'm currently working on my first game, which will obviously be non-commercial, and it's intended to be more of an inside-joke title that I'll pass around friends.
I'm slowly getting the hang of how events and conditional branches work, it's still a bumpy ride ahead.
Now, since it's supposed to be a title for friends/family, I'm using videos of me and my friends, too, and I've encountered the following issue:
Whatever video I insert, there always seems to be an additional quarter to half second at the end of each clip. Strangely enough, this added split-second usually sounds like some random audio from within anywhere of the actual clip itself.
My conversion process looks like this:
MPG / AVI / WMV file --> Editing in Windows Live Movie Maker (Version 2011 Build 15.4.3555.0308) --> OGG (Theora + Vorbis) file via VLC player conversion --> Copying OGG and pasting it into my project's movie folder
The video codec pack I'm using:
K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 11.0.0
My guess is that the Windows Live Movie Maker and/or the installed Codec Pack might contribute to that issue, so I'll see if the problem persists when using something else.
But other than that, maybe some of you might have a clue?
Thank you.
Kind regards
Josh
EDIT: Sorry for accidentally adding all the Codec links, wasn't my intention.
