I was trying to import some videos, but they won't show... does the editor just support WEBM format?
If that's the case, how can I convert my videos to that format? There are some online converters, but I would rather make the conversion in my PC.

    Thanks, I'll look into that.
However, it seems strange to rely only in a single format. :kaoswt:

    Hi Astel,

at time of writing this post, iOS/Safari/MSEdge are only supporting MP4 videos and all other platforms only support WEBM. So as long as you are not planning to make a Web or iOS game, WEBM is fine. If you plan iOS/WEB too, then you need your video in two formats: WEBM and MP4.

    Hi
I read in the help file that we can import same files, different file types multiples times.
So does this mean if we would like to deploy to most platforms, we have to prepare mp4/webm/ogg formats for videos and audios?
And does that mean we need to convert the STaR weather effects webm files to have effects show properly on iOS ?
    Thank you.

    Hi
Yes, especially important for Web games. For iOS, you can just delete all the OGG versions to save disk space.

Yes, it means that. Because iOS doesn't support OGG and WEBM natively. Why? Well... ask the manufacturer.....

Yes it means that. We were thinking to add audio and video files in both formats into the StAR but we didn't because it would blow up the file size and also, it is super easy and free to convert your audio and video files between WEBM/MP4/OGG.

I guess that's the reason, sometimes is hard for me to see such things as i don't really intend to "deploy" anything... i'm just making a VN for myself. I'll just convert the videos and move on.
    Thanks for the clarification :kaohi:
