You will take on the role as a young Asperian Knight named Vincent Feracordis, and his journey to discover a secret that will change his life forever. At the age of ten, Vincent discovered a 'gift' (or a curse) involving the ability to hear distant whispers, and hallucinate events that are not a part of his own life. Growing up has made him accustomed to this defect, and he has learned to live a normal life despite the echoing voices infecting his mind. But something is rising on the horizon, and chaotic and fearsome events are about to take shape when King Zephyr of Asper suddenly decides to search for a long-forgotten relic from an ancient era.

Questioning King Zephyr's intentions, and with a deep worry of the king's recent obsession with the ancient item, Vincent is being tasked to look for the second piece of the artifact in a sealed forest, located far across the ocean. All his life Vincent has questioned the very reason why he's the only one with the unusual vital defect, but he has never found an answer... until now.

Violent Whispers is a game about finding your true self, overcoming difficulties when your whole world is crumbling, and rise from the ashes even when the world is against you. The value of friendship, love and trust, and the ultimate courage of turning your back against everything you have ever known, for a greater good.

Wow, thanks a lot for the kind words :)

I recently picked up Rpg maker, so I'm happy you like the mapping so far. I hope there will be some improvements later on, but your words are really motivating me to keep working on the project! Thanks :)

You are making exterior mapping for interior maps- for instance, you have a house kind of map but you also show the outside of the house. I haven't seen a game that has done that yet. It's unprecedented. Be sure to post on the mapping forum and show this off. This is brilliant!

That was something that poped up in my head when I started off with making my interior maps for my houses really. I started making them with just adding a black autotile as the outside of the house. Then it hit me that I could work around it and add the outside of the house instead, and I thought it turned out pretty okay. The thing with it though is, that I'm a bit afraid that it might be a slight 'overkill' and maybe put off the player since it might draw away attention from the inside of the house itself, or do you think it works well?

I'm also having some trouble when implementing the outside since I don't have all the resources that I use in my exterior tileset. I'm thinking about customizing the interior tileset though and add trees, flowers, bushes etc into my interior tileset. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that with the tilesets I'm using though, so I need to ask the maker of the tilesets I'm using. I'm a bit inexperienced with combining tilesets as it is aswell, but I have seen some tutorials out there that can aid me in the task. It should be pretty doable with the program I'm using aswell (GIMP).

I'm very happy you like that idea though, and I didn't know it wasn't implemented much in other games :) I'll make sure to post some of the houses I have done, on the mapping forum later then. I just need to customize the tilesets before I can make it the way I want it!, but I'm really happy you think the idea is brilliant, never thought I would be praised for the mapping :)

My original Zendir maps had mapping outside the house, but yes, it is rare. Also, is this your first project? It's remarkably good-looking for a first one!!

I see :) Pretty sweet that It's kinda rare though, it came to me pretty naturally when I made the first house. But like I said, I'm having a bit of trouble to work it out the way I want it since I need resources from another tileset to make it work.. that's why my house maps doesn't have this kind of mapping in the demo yet. I'm planning to redo them again though if i can work it out somehow. Yes, It's my first project so far and I bought RPG maker VXA in December of 2012. I'm enjoying it very much, and I have always had this as a 'small dream', creating my very own game that is :) I'm very happy that you think It looks good!, I was a bit afraid to post it because I'm very new to this. It motivates me, hearing that it looks good for a first project, so thanks for the kind words! I hope you guys find the time to test out the demo sometimes, would help me out alot.

Back in the early years of RPG maker VX it was kind of common to make maps like this. I actually liked it, glad to see it again. *nostalgia*

    Keep it up!

Sure :) The thing you need to do with the teleporters is to find the teleporter stone to activate them. The stone itself is hidden on the bottom of the lake that's running through the center of the map. To get to It's location, you need to take the east road from the starting point and walk along the path. When the road splits up into another crossroad, you will see a bridge to the left, and the river that I was talking about before. On the right side however you will see a sign that is located by the river, and next to this you will see something that's shimmering on the bottom of the lake. If you interact with this, you will dive into the water and find the stone. You will then have to use this stone on the teleporters to activate them :)

I'm really bad at explaining directions hehe, but I hope it helped you. Otherwise I can send you a screenshot of the location.

You shouldn't be jealous though, It's my first project and I still have a long way to go! I'm sure your project will be awesome, and I'll make sure to look it up if you release a beta version.

    Small update!

    2013-03-07

I havn't been able to work on the game for some time now, but now I'm sort of back in action!

At the moment, I'm working some on my second town and trying to implement light effects for some of my caves, and the earlier areas.

I'm still looking for people to recruit, (especially for the database) so I might put up a thread about it later on. I think I will need to befriend more people first though, and interact with the community a bit more before asking for some help.

Any feedback on the thread, or the demo is still very welcome! It's a lot easier for me to change things if they are being brought to my attention!

    :D

    Stay tuned for new updates!
