Hey everybody, I just got done talking to the staff on here because I kept getting a popup to download RPGVXAce 5, and after further investigation with the staff they surmised it was a virus, trojan, and or malware so I scanned my system and yup, there it was. Apparently the cause or source was a face generator I had gotten, which is why I am writing this so that if anyone else has this generator to check their system.

Here is a screenshot of what I am speaking of:

If this is the wrong place for this I apologize.

Moving this to off topic, it sucks that there's a virus bundled with a resource that's meant for RPG Maker, but frankly, has nothing to do with our forum.

I've moved this thread to off topic. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Just so you know... if you're using Avast, it has been known to throw out false positives.

Perhaps, but he did get redirected to a specified download that appeared to be from here but wasn't (I read about it in the original problem topic), so he had a malware that was custom-tailored against RPGMakers. Such a custom-tailored malware would only work if it was distributed by something that had to do with RM (otherwise it would rise alarms faster if the download was redirected).

So if Avast reports only one program having to do with RM as a malware, that had to be the source of his problems and not a false positive...

Our of curiosity, is this a recent download, and are you using Avast. Avast has been giving me no end of trouble with false positives since it was last updated.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
