Good stuff. If I could make one suggestion though, it might be better, if possible, to put the names centered (or aligned however) above the faces. In your example, the names cover up bars in the battle scene and that could be blocking info the player might need to see.
this is just an example of placement, so it may be easier for others to adjust placement.
the gauges which are partially covered by longer names are aggro and atb.. which in my opinion can be covered and information will still be understandable.
The design choice is up to you.
