Does the trial time start when it is installed or when it is opened up?

30 Days and pretty certain that's as soon as you start it the first time (as that's generally the procedure in other programs, I could be wrong though).

I really am not a fan of steam, I'd prefer to not use it, however I did buy it on steam, so I'd like to know as well.

I will check if there's a way to transfer the product, but if it's set up like RPG Maker MV/Ace, there's no way for us to transfer a Steam purchase to stand-alone.

Although either way, I don't mind buying a stand alone version if need be, it's definitely a well worth it engine, since it comes with a lot more than I had thought, it can definitely be used for more than just visual novels even. Just glad a stand alone version is available now.

Essentially why I waited before purchasing because I knew it would inevitably come as stand alone. I'll be downloading the trial to check it out and mess around with the engine. @Lunarea Does the trial come with all the resources that are included after purchase? (So I get an idea of whats included sort of thing.)

Not that I'm complaining mind you, but how does Steam justify knocking 10% off an 8 dollar product? I guess I'll save a Quarter.

Nooblike question here. By standalone version - does that mean it can be accessed/used without going though Steam? If not that then what is "Standalone" mean in this instance?
