We need voice actors for our short horror game, which you can find information for on our tumblr blog -->
Grandma's Special Pie
Since the game is non-commercial, you won't receive any compensation for your voice acting. But, you will be in the credits and it's a good way to practice and gain experience, as well as build upon your portfolio. We can't provide visual references at the moment because we do not want to reveal many of the characters, but we tried our best to describe what the voices should sound like.
If you're interested or have any questions, please send an e-mail to grandmas.specialpie@gmail.com. When you send an audio file make sure you clearly state who you’re auditioning for! Thank you in advance for your interest!
Angela (12 years-old)
- Young voice, a bit high-pitched.
- Usually sounds unsure of what she’s saying. Uses a lot of pauses.
- “Uhm… yes.. who are you?” (starts out a bit uneasy, transitions into a questioning tone of voice)
- “That’s… weird… it’s made out of cardboard…” (mumbling as if she’s talking to herself)
- Gasp
- Shriek
Little girl (7 years-old)
- Very young, innocent voice. Make it as light and fluffy and possible without being too baby-ish.
- “Where have all the blackberries gone?” (wonder-filled)
- “Hello? Is someone there?” (loud and fearful, voice cracks a bit)
- Gasp
- Shriek
Old man (90 years-old)
- Elderly voice, can clearly hear the age.
- Is a bit mad, sometimes says things a bit distantly. Talks not directly to the MC but also not directly to himself.
- “I’ve just been stuck here so long I don’t know my delusions from my realities…” (detached, melancholic)
- “Anyway! You can help me… help me get out..” (lively, turns more melancholic again)
Hag (??? years-old)
- Egotistical and seductive. Sounds confident in what she’s saying, and almost like she wants to lure you in.
- “Come here, come bask in my beauty.” (regal but commanding)
- “Oh, it’s a simple test. One of basic book smarts and attitude.” (straight-forward, a bit cocky)
- Cackle
- Shriek
- Chewing noises (specifically eating blackberries, like HAND FULLS)
Grandma (81 years-old)
- Harsh, stern, strict. You don’t want to want to mess with her.
- “I’m so proud of you, dear.” (not in a happy way, more somber)
- “You should have listened! You made that deal!” (taunting yell)
