Note: no space backdrop was used in this piece. The background, and all refracted light, is from the aquarium environment with its dark blue shadings and the "stars" were real-life aquatic flecks of some sort. The geography of the PS planet is actually the digitally manipulated elements of another species of jellyfish and surrounding water.

I like all of these, but 'Irregular orbit' is my favourite (so far).  I'm impressed by the way you created the planet.

There are a number of very interesting Photoshop planet and space tutorials that I want to try. The linked tutorial is the one I used probably because it was the first I clicked on and it seemed easy enough to follow.

Note: the name of Dr. Shimura was chosen as a tribute to one of my favorite Japanese actors, Takashi Shimura (a great actor, who not only starred in Godzilla and other monster movies, but was a Kurosawa favorite and was featured in Ikiru, Rashomon and Seven Samurai).

 

With the way my scroller was placed, I read the "Hell in Hello" line before seeing the picture.  This was one of those moments when it was a genuine 'laugh out loud'.  So funny.

I have never been a cat person.  I can now justify that preference, thanks to you.  How useful!

 

Lol, I'm not a cat-person either, but when my son moved to a place that did not accept cats I inherited his!


So I'm not a cat-person who has had a cat now for 16 years.

The GOOD new is that Mecha Hello Kittyzilla (a.k.a. Mecha Maneki-Neko) destroyed only 1/3 of San Francisco, the BAD news is THAT IT DESTROYED 1/3 of San Francisco!!!. The additional BAD news it that Godzilla destroyed another 1/3 of San Francisco and Caesar and his Apes destroyed an additional 1/3 of San Francisco, thus the score:
