@Lankaino~ No, just the screen it's self. The fade out time can be adjusted with line 323.

@everyone~ I have updated the script again with new audio features and I updated most of the animations too. I also added more help in the top portion of the script. Can someone please give me some feedback about the instrustions. Did I make it any easier to understand.

Also I moved the image folder to the titles1 folder so be sure to move your images.

The background loops still haven't been fixed yet. ):
After "2" backgrounds have scrolled they start to show a small "split" between 2 of the images.

I fixed it, sorry about that. I thought I forgot to fix scrolling right when I fixed the others. Let me know if you still have the same issue.

It's still not working properly.

It loops fine for the first loop, but when the second loop comes by it will split between 2 of the backgrounds.
I uploaded a demo to show what I'm doing in the customization section and so you can see what's happening yourself.

Removed Demo

If this will work properly then I have a few nice background effects to completely change Ed's template at it's fullest.

But I need the background loops fixed. x.x

- - - EDIT - - -

I made a mistake with my background size's not being the same.

I found the problem, one of the images I had were not 544x416 like the other cloud.

BUT, I found a new problem.

The "split" happens if the background's loop speed is too fast.

If 2 background's :scroll_speed => 3 or higher then they will split after 2 or 3 loops.

"Cloud1" => {    :scroll_frame_rate => 2,                      :scroll_speed => 3,                      :x => 0,                      :y => 0,                      :ox => 0,                      :oy => 0,                      :z => 5,                      :opacity => 255,                      :animation_types => [3]             },#<---- Do Not Remove                                                                      "Cloud2" => {    :scroll_frame_rate => 2,                      :scroll_speed => 3,                      :x => -544,                      :y => 0,                      :ox => 0,                      :oy => 0,                      :z => 5,                      :opacity => 255,                      :animation_types => [3]             },#<---- Do Not Remove
If their scroll_speed are 1 or 2, then it's fine. I would like them to stay attached if the scroll speed is 4 or 5.

I found the problem, make sure the image sizes are the same. When the animations loop they are set to go off of the first looping images width. just for the sake of making things easy on yourself I would try to stick with 544x416.Change the image size and let me know if that fixes the problem.

edit** I will check into the speed issue..

edit** I think its fixed. I have the speeds set to 4 and It's not spliting anymore. I watched it for about 3 minutes to make sure.

Thanks, by the way I found something weird with the scroll speed.

The current speeds that do not cause splits are 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16

I only checked up to 16 since I'm sure no one else needs a higher speed than 16, but those that I listed don't cause splits.

- - - Edit - - -

I'm sure having those 5 speeds aren't really a big problem, but you should let people know to use those speeds for background scrolls or they might not know what's going on.

Your welcome Lankaino.

Thats good to know. It probably has something to do with the size vs. speed and rate. Anyways Im glad you figured that out. I don't think that is something I can fix though with out knowing exact sizes of the images being used.

Have you ever considered adding a Parallax animation that acts exactly like Parallax scrolls?
This way for people who don't want to use 2(same) backgrounds can use Parallax that only need 1 image.

The current scroll that's in the script now has a good way to use animations like slimes and birds.

However you could also recreate the parallax to be used as well.
If not, I can probably edit the script to allow parallax since I know a decent amount of Ruby (mainly basics)

@Levi, That is the way it's set-up. The only difference is that when you use the systems parallax it creates the second layer for you automatically( I'm pretty sure... I dont see how it would work otherwise.). I could set it up but really how hard is it to copy and paste with a new name. I mean I could set it up, It's not that I don't know how, but really?

@Everyone~ NO ONE HAS PERMISSION TO CHANGE ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE EDITABLE REGIONS OF ANY OF MY SCRIPTS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. (Not just the basics either. If you change something and it stops working for you, I will not help you figure it out. Sorry.)

Hey V, You just now said people don't have permission to edit outside the editable area unless they know what they're doing.

I hope you don't mind but I updated your script to v1.3 adding a custom "Cursor SE" that can be used.
I've used these type of cursor SE's with my own created title screens (Only for my projects)

-Script Removed- V made a better version of it.

Your welcome and Thanks again Levi!

If anyone has anyone has any questions I wrote a guide with some more details which I will be updateing again soon.

It can be found here in the How to section or in the demo.

** Edit~

I've updated the Help Guide again.

If anyone has any free time, could I please get some feedback on it. Let me know if there is any areas that need more discription or details.

I'm going to be adding a lot more to the script over the next couple days and I want to make sure the Help Guide is actually helpful because it will be needed.

Those were some pretty good upgrades :)

I've tested and found a bug with the cursor animation type. When the menu commands are set to vertical the graphic goes away from the cursor.

The help file seems to be good, although in the looping part you should warn that only 1,2,4,8... work well.

I don't want to be a nag but I have two more suggestions x)

#1 -  I thought it was possible to sed the blending type like "LayerX Bend:Add/Sub" but I found out only fades from one to the other. It doesn't stay. It would look great with the Sun and the Orbs layers of my demo for example. (check the link below)

#2 - I don't know if it's too much but something that would really add to the script would be setting the order the layers appear. Like if I could set for example the Title to appear only 100 frames after the menu appears and the menu commands 100 frames after the title.

Something like "Fadein - 100 frames" Wait 100 frames to appear.

Well I hope those are good.

I've made a new demo for the template. I has some new stuff and it is upgraded to V 1.4. :)

Thanks Again BustedEd, You will have to change the ox and oy of the cursor image to match the command images.

And that was a good point, I will mention that in the help guide.

As far as the requests I'm not sure what you are asking for the first one. Do you just want to set the number to like 1 for example and leave it there?

As far as your second request. I love the idea and that was one of my first thoughts when doing this but it will be very hard to impliment into the script but it will get there.

Thank you again for your support and your templete. It looks great.

** I Figured it out! Update should be up sometime tonight or tomorrow. I am still putting some final touches on it. Also I don't know if thats what you were requesting or not. but I will and an option for each layer to  have a :symbol for a permenent blend.

Thanks Shin. BD

I've updated the CATS Help Guide as well as the script. I will still be doing some more updates tomorrow to both the script and a lot more to the help guide. I know it's lacking now, but it's 3:15 am ( my time ) so for now I must sleep. Have fun.

** Update

I have updated the script and the help guide.

@vinadaca Congratz again! :D

Ok, so I downloaded the demo and ended up making custom menu:

I've encountered a few problems and there are a few things that could be improved.

I've also made a demo of the composition I made by the way. I just felt like it lol. Just to see the potential of this script :p

It can be used as a template for the script.

-Why have two images with diferent names to make 1 looping image?

-The images looping start separating from each other (Check Template. Wait for a little bit until the cloud images loop 2 times and you'll see.)

-Not enough instructions in the comments. (Lucky I know thing or two, or else I would've been completely lost. Try explain more of how to set up the layers and  commands. By commands I mean for instance ":fade_frame_rate". I understood what it is, but if I were to do the layers from scratch I would have no idea what are the commands.)

-The Menu fading out isn't very smooth. I'd rather see soft fade out.

-Some polishing: The wave effect looks a bit odd, and the blending effects could have fade transitions, instead of imidiatly changing.

-Add a Decision SE specific for "New Game" option and maybe for the other two options and the cursor moving aswell?

If I remember something else I'll let you know :)

The rest seems to be excellent. I think this one has pottential to be one of the best title menu scripts :)

Here's the Title Template I made(Updated):

http://www.mediafire.com/download/d42k4w016mv77wj/V%27s+Custom+Title+Demo+-+BustedEd+Template+V1.4.exe

(Anyone can download this Template of this script and use it on their projects.)
I decided to use your template and it keeps telling me :

"Unable to find file

Graphics/Titles1/New Game"

when I try to test it. I copy and pasted all of your pix over to my projects "Titles1" folder and even made a "new game" folder in it. Idk what's going on.

*edit: nvm figured it out. Good job with the title. It's amazing

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
