I've added a new animation type. It allows you to now fade out images permanently.

One more update for you. You now have control of when the player can make an input.

If you are displaying images for the intro or slash images, with out the timer the player can still press the buttons and make blind selections, with the new update you can set up a timer to stop that from happening.

I want to make the title change images when the player clicks the start button (only the start button while clicking other buttons results nothing).

Like for example, a blank black screen with the options displayed, when the player clicks the start button, a ghost image pops up for a single frame or two before dissapearing. Or an image of person who smiles when the start button is pressed.

Is there a line or two I can edit?

Is there any chance I could use this to add a new option? Like New Game , Load Game, Options and Quit?

I edited here but when I press "Options" it still closes the game. So where should I edit to get that?

How can I get rid of the rectangle and instead highlight the commands while selecting? (Like in MOG's animated title script) Thanks for any answer)

I'm also experiencing a bug where this script kinda blocks cursor sound in, for example, name input scene

EDIT: Okay I got rid of the bug somehow... I don't know what I did, but it's gone...

Does the cursor animation only go horizontal? My window commands are vertical.  This is what I have so far:

"Cursor" => {  :variable_frame_rate => 12,

                      :max_variable_frames => 2,

                      :ox => -175,

                      :oy => -5,

                      :z => 8,

                      :opacity => 255,

                      :animation_types => [12,13],

@nightdragon i do not have a copy of the script infront of me but i believe it is not currently possible, however that is something i can add.

Um, it's been so long I can't remember what I wanted to do. I'm now using a mouse script so it lets you click anywhere. I think I put false for this part of the script.

Use_Horizontal_Command_Window = false

It didn't work so I changed a "x" to a "y" in one part of the script. I don't remember which line.

Im not sure how to help nightdragon. Your not giving me a lot to work with. As far as i know it should work with most mouse scripts. If anyone else has had any issues with that please chime in.

Other then that, i would need at least a name for the mouse script you are using. A link would be better.

Oh the mouse script has nothing to do with it. What I mean is I wanted to make my commands go up and down instead of from left to right. I changed this to say false:


Use_Horizontal_Command_Window = true


So when I put my cursor in it still moved horizontally. I changed this part of the script. Cursor Animation on line 949. I changed the "x" to "y". I don't need help anymore. But I thought you should know that or if anyone wants to make their command windows go up and down.

Ok, so I downloaded the demo and ended up making custom menu:



I've encountered a few problems and there are a few things that could be improved.

I've also made a demo of the composition I made by the way. I just felt like it lol. Just to see the potential of this script :p

It can be used as a template for the script.

-Why have two images with diferent names to make 1 looping image?

-The images looping start separating from each other (Check Template. Wait for a little bit until the cloud images loop 2 times and you'll see.)

-Not enough instructions in the comments. (Lucky I know thing or two, or else I would've been completely lost. Try explain more of how to set up the layers and  commands. By commands I mean for instance ":fade_frame_rate". I understood what it is, but if I were to do the layers from scratch I would have no idea what are the commands.)

-The Menu fading out isn't very smooth. I'd rather see soft fade out.

-Some polishing: The wave effect looks a bit odd, and the blending effects could have fade transitions, instead of imidiatly changing.

-Add a Decision SE specific for "New Game" option and maybe for the other two options and the cursor moving aswell?

If I remember something else I'll let you know :)

The rest seems to be excellent. I think this one has pottential to be one of the best title menu scripts :)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
