so I've been fiddling around with this, and I want to have the 'New' 'Continue' "Quit' text on different lines.

so instead of this:

I'm looking for something more like this:

How would I do about doing that? I've seen where to move it up and down on the page, but it's a joint thing, not something I can do for each menu option.

I love this script, and I've created such a great title with it. (The only problem I'm having with it is that my cursor in game now no longer makes any sound O.O (but it could have been just me messing things up because I'm still pretty new with scripting, but I'm not sure....))

I absolutely love this script!  Thanks again so much for making this!

Edit: There seems to be an issue... If I rotate an image clockwise (animation mode: 1, speed: 1, framerate: 4), the image moves exactly how I want it. But if I rotate it clockwise (mode: 2) and keep the rest the same, it suddenly speeds up way too fast and I can't slow it down.

Also, looping a picture to the right (anim. mode: 3) works perfectly, no gaps between the images. But looping to the left (mode: 4) suddenly gives me gaps that I can't close.  In both instances, all I am doing is changing the mode.

A peek at what I'm using this for: link

This was posted a few years ago - but I am curious if this still works for VX Ace?  If so...how do I go about implementing it?  I have my script editor up - but which file should I over write with this custom title screen script?

Please follow the link in my signature for a beginner's guide to using scripts.

You do not overwrite ANY file/script with it. You put it into its own new slot, under Materials.

I'm using this, but I don't want to use the window skin that's in the script. I want the default window skin I've uploaded into resources. What do I need to delete/modify to change it back to the default setting?

Hey, I hope that someone can still help with this script.

I noticed a bug that doesn't only exist in my game now, but in the demo of the script, too.

The common "Cursor" sound effect, which you can set in the system area of the database, does not play anymore.

Does anyone know how to change this?

I really wish you had some sort of visual aid for this. I'm not unintelligent and I have customized different features into games before (i.e. posters on the walls, blood spatter, etc.) But I am a visual learner and I learned those from watching Youtube videos. unfortunately there aren't all that many Youtube videos on how to make a custom title screen like this. And I'd really like to use the flashing feature you seemed to have in this.

I had the same issue as well. Here's one way to fix it (credit to Soulpour777):

module Sound
  Cursor_SE = "filename"
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Play Cursor Sound Effect
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def self.play_cursor
    RPG::SE.new(Sound::Cursor_SE, 100, 100).play
  end

end

class Window_TitleCommand < Window_Command
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Cursor Movement Processing
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def process_cursor_move
    return unless cursor_movable?
    last_index = @index
    cursor_down (Input.trigger?:)DOWN))  if Input.repeat?:)DOWN)
    cursor_up   (Input.trigger?:)UP))    if Input.repeat?:)UP)
    cursor_right(Input.trigger?:)RIGHT)) if Input.repeat?:)RIGHT)
    cursor_left (Input.trigger?:)LEFT))  if Input.repeat?:)LEFT)
    cursor_pagedown   if !handle?:)pagedown) && Input.trigger?:)R)
    cursor_pageup     if !handle?:)pageup)   && Input.trigger?:)L)
    Sound.play_cursor if @index != last_index
  end
end

Edit: I forgot to mention that you also need to change one of the lines under "Method for Cursor Sound" in V's script. The 2nd "false" in the original script needs to be changed to "true".

  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Method for cursor sound
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def self.play_cursor
    $title == false ? play_system_sound(0) :  RPG::SE.new(Cursor_SE[0], Cursor_SE[1], Cursor_SE[2]).play if $title != true
  end

So I'm some what new to coding i know a bit of the basics but I'm more the graphic type person. Anyway I'm trying to get get my title screen to work with the fade out and fade in. I have a set of photos that all match in size and i want them to look like they are switching back and fourth. So I've got the fading out working here are my screen shots but no matter how i try i can't get the fade in to work. I've tired the demo but it keeps giving me a error. Once i got the error and reopened up my script editor it would go to line (Loop Moving Down) in that area, i can't remember the number in the line of code. If you can help out in anyway that be great if there is nothing that can be done then RIP.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
