VX Ace Chimera to MV Sideview Battler + 1 other

Hello everyone! I've got a couple requests that I hope should be fairly simple, but I'm afraid I don't have the skills or knowhow to do them myself. The first thing I need, as the post title suggests, is for the stock Chimera battler from VX Ace to be converted to an MV sideview battler. The story for the game I'm working on needs a chimera that can fly, and the stock MV battler doesn't meet that. The second thing I need is a two-part request. One of the bosses in my story is a vampire queen, and as I was looking through the stock MV battlers, the femal general image is pretty close to what I want- I mainly just need her skin tone altered to match the pale color for the face I created in the MV character generator, and also possibly remove the horns on the battler. At the same time, I would like it if the hair color for the face, walking sprite, and damage sprite could be adjusted to match the firey red color of the battler- the current color in the attached files is as close as I could manage, and it's more of a magenta shade than I'd like. Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

 

Does the Chimera need to match this one precisely, or do you just need a Chimera? I was about to start working on a Manticore battler, but a Chimera might be more fun. The rest shouldn't be too complicated to tackle, either.

 

A precise match isn't necessary, though I do need wings and the snake tail. I was able to convert some of the VX Ace stock monster walking sprites, as I've attached to the bottom. Whatever the end result is should look enough like the top sprite to be believable. What I'm going for with this, story wise, is part of an escape strategy from a gladiatorial arena. Basically, the idea is that the chimera has some acid attacks, which the player uses to his advantage to weaken the wall of the arena, then goads the chimera into charging at him, but he dodges and the monster breaks through, allowing him to escape. Thanks a lot for the help!

Hey- I'd been trying for a bit to figure out how to make a full faceset, rather than just a single image, and I finally figured it out today. Think you could adjust the hair for the full faceset? thanks in advance!

 

Yes, the hair edit won't take much.

 

I've just finished the basic lion battler than I'm going to use as your Chimera foundation. Thought I would go ahead and share this with you and then complete the rest tomorrow. Don't worry about the color scheme, as it will match the source material when I send you the completed battler.

 

Looks good! I'm assuming it shouldn't be too difficult to replace the tail with a snake head like the walking sprite I posted? Just want to try and make it consistent. It'd be pretty strange to have the monster you look at when walking around to have the snake for a tail, but not have it be there in the actual fight; though since you said in the beginning you were also wanting to make a manticore, which would have a scorpion tail, I'm guessing you already took that kind of thing into account. Thanks again!

 

Yep, it will look as expected.   I already have separate layers for the horns, wings, snake tail, and striping. It will match the RTP sprite, no worries. I just posted this to show you progress, since I was saving this guy as a lion battler anyway. 


I'll have the complete product for you tomorrow.

Will this work for what you need? I removed the horns on the battler you wanted to use, changed her skin tone, and added the purple shade around the eyes. The rest had the hair colored to match. I'm not sure the expression on the battler quite matches your faceset here, or the clothing between the battler and your sprite, but this should satisfy what you've asked:
