Hi everyone,

In my current project I want to use ''A desecrated Temple'' from this list

http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/926-rpg-music-pack-free-commercial-use/

But VX Ace is just ignoring it as if it never existed. It's in the same format as the other songs and I can play the other ones just fine. I can't even play it by pressing ''play'' when choosing the song.

Am I doing something wrong?

1. I imported it into Audio/BGM

2. I use play BGM with 100 Volume and 100 Pitch.

Is there something I need to do in between or something? I never had a problem like this and I really want to use the song.

Can you play it in your regular music player?

Yes, it's working just fine,

EDIT: I tried uploading it as ME etc as well, it's still not working...

This is really, really weird.

EDIT 2: More info: The same goes for ''The blood of Lilith'' from the same list, which is a remix of the previous

track. They're both MP3 though, so I really don't think it has to do anything with the format etc...

Try reconverting them.

Contrary to popular belief, MP3 is NOT a single file format - it's a group of formats using similiar compressions, and over the years different compressions have been added to the format.

When a program can't play an MP3, this usually means that either the computer is missing the specific codec used in that compression, or that some of the MP3 has unusual music settings. Both options usually indicated that someone tried too hard to reduce the download size, at the cost of compatibility.

If you open and recode the file in a dedicated audio program, the result can usually be played with any program (but also usually has a higher filesize)

I would, but I don't have the original file as I didn't make them - I only have the MP3.

Is there anything else I can do? I made the cutscene 1st thinking it will work just fine and now it just doesn't fit the other songs.

I meant opening the MP3 with an audio program - those usually are able to handle all different MP3 formats.

Audacity is a good program to use. It's free, and can convert .mp3s into .oggs.

Awesome, thanks for the help!

I downloaded Audacity, opened the song, exported it as wav and now it's working  :)

Again, thanks a lot, you have no idea how helpful this was.

EDIT: Feel free to close I guess.
