I'm making a desert dungeon that's using the sand tile from the exterior tileset. I know the RTP comes with a water (A1) tile for the sand, but it looks more like beach water and not as dungeonish as I'm going for.

I'd like for the dungeon type of water (the kind you see in like the brown and grey cave water tiles on the dungeon A1 sheet) to be added onto the sand tile, if possible. Many thanks in advance!

You might be able to do it with this:
http://www.ezmash.net/Dev/RPGMaker/VXAce/RMXPAceConverter.zip

Unzip and run the exe.
Open the A1 and A2 sheets on the left, and the new A1 sheet on the right.
Use the sand tile from the A2 sheet on the left to fill in a whole block of water tiles (6 columns x 3 rows) on the sheet on the right.
Select the cave ground tile from the A2 sheet on the left as the "background" tile, then all the cave water tiles, then copy them to the sheet on the right, using the 'remove background' option (so it only copies the water, onto the sand tiles).

That sounds really confusing - hopefully if you give it a go, it'll be easier than it sounds.

I do not know what sand tile you are using but maybe this helps?
I just added the dungeon water tile to the outside a1 tileset.

it blends pretty well without the more complex edit, I think.

ahh i'm using the more yellow desert sand, the browner dirt tile does blend well with it, but i don't think the regular one does
