Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm looking into purchasing the following packs:
- http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/graphics/ancient-dungeons-jungle
- http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/graphics/ancient-dungeons-winter

However, those packs are not optimized with RPGMMV, I found this link:

But the tool doesn't work (for me at least).

Is there any other way/tool I can easily use to get what I need done?

Please let me know.
Thanks.

Almost any image paint tool. Even gimp can do it, even Microsoft paint can do it.

Photoshop makes pretty quick work of it. However, images will always be a little blurry after sizing up. The solution that gives the highest quality I think is to scale up and touch up, which takes time but looks better.

I always find that after doing a resize with any tool you'll lose some sharpness and contrast, so if you have any graphics editor that auto-optimizes those for you, it should fix that problem.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager and Ashampoo's Picture Editor are just two tools that come with auto optimizers for this, there are many others, both commercial and free.

If possible, try to run an PNG optimizer on the images afterwards if you want to strike the best balance between file size and quality.

Use gimp and download the batch file manipulation plugin for it, this will make scaling all the maps MUCH easier. I know there is a thread somewhere around here on how to scale up for max quality using gimp.

If you cant find it, I saved the settings for the scaling process but don't have that computer in front of me at the moment.

I bought the pack and scaled up and everything came out pretty nice with some errors but not to bad.

I would not use any graphic tranfer tools of this nature. In fact, for every developer there will be even more issues in the future about pictures and their sizes. I recommend to get a basic picture editing software (free ones are good even) Gimp, paint.net. You can get rid off all of these problems with these ones.
