[VX] Hopefully easy one about Iconset = animated

Hey All,


So i'm working on a project with double height player sprites, which is great only, the User Iconset = animated weapons I'm so fond of, now swing from mid-calf instead of the right height, does anyone happen to know where in the scripts the X & Y Offsets are for the weapon swings? I tried modifying what I *thought* were the right coordinates, but they had no effect.


*Edit* So sorry, I'm using Falcao PearlABS with sixths fixes.

Please give a link to the scripts you're using for this


Ace neither had animated icons nor visible weapons (nor sideview), so everything you described is createdby scripts, and we need to know which scripts before we can help you.

I asked for the links, not for the names - you can't expect people to waste their time searching for the correct scripts, especially not if you added compatibility patches or something like that to the original script..

ok, apologies the first for missing the part about links, that's my bad. I should read more carefully. Also apologies for the delay in coming back, I got a bit busy in the dayjob right after this, so have only just re-picked up the project... ok SO... I'm using Falcao PearlABS v3, with Sixth's bugfix script.

Hopefully someone (perhaps actually @Sixth might just know given he wrote the fixes) can point out where within these two the Iconset Animated offset from the character sprite is set.

You can use one of my other addons for this ABS to set up your own iconset animations for your tools.

Position the icons how you want there (in the IconAnims settings), change the settings to fit your taller character sprites.


Use the "new" note-tag (well, just a modified one to allow your custom animations to be loaded) instead of the old one on your tools, and it should work.


That script got some other features, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

Yeah, old topic, this project only gets attention when I have free time, which is sporadic, and given I'm using nothing default, there's been a lot to just sit and build and figure out when I have time, but this iconset thing is critical, at least for the first MVP/Prototype I'm no animator.
