I recently got RPG maker MZ, I havent played since RPG maker VX oh a decade ago.
I was tinkering with the animations, I remember back in VX you could have multiple particle effects in 1 animation. And you could control which frame each particle effect came in on.
I cant seem to find this in MZ. Am I missing something?

Sadly, the only way is to make animations in an MV project, then copy over the sprite sheets and animations.js to the MZ project. It's very clunky for people who prefer doing it the old school way and not use Effekseer instead. Also, previewing imported animations won't work, but they'll play normally ingame.

Sometimes a mechanic that is meant to add challenge is just annoying. Even the Final Fantasy games did not completely escape this pitfall of design. (FF8 draw system I'm looking at you - grrrr)
starting working on the sprites for one of my games major antagonists finally. here's the first frame of his chanting motion in battle.
Have spent too much time hammering out with a friend just how to make a reoccurring enemy that permanently learns skills you use against her.
I know what I want in a loose sense. Maybe I should just make a post asking for opinions and suggestions.
