VXACE Sideview?

I've been working on editing things out so that instead of battlers, enemy sprites appear in combat instead. It's been hard, and I'm on the verge of throwing in the towel and looking for a complete script for such a thing already on here, but while I'm doing that I was hoping there was a way to make VXAce allow sideview fighting? I know MV does, but I'm working with VXAce and don't really want to switch programs in the middle of a project.

Not by default, but there are half a dozen scripts that can be used for implementing sideview battles.


I suggest you search for "Battle Engine Symphonia" on the master script list as that also supports the action sequences that have become popular with Yanfly's additions to MV's sideview battles.

Feeling a bit rough but much better then bein' hospitalized at least.

Added skill ranges, and very basic implementation of scope, with a rule called "empty tile" that simply returns true if the selected tile is empty (has a battler), and false otherwise


This means movement range and attack ranges are all automatically implemented.
