W40K: Bring it to the resources

I'm not new to this forum since I come back here from time to time as a sneakypeaky ninja-leecher. Well, pardon me.

Out of pure boredom, I had this very creative and "totally" tought-out idea: How about some sprite sheets of characters from the warhammer 40k universe which will be posted here as an open source for anyone else to colorize / individualize so that he can use it for his/her W40K themed game?


I'm trying to keep them in an RPG Maker XP format since this one is my favorite, and I'm not looking forward to detail spriting, because I want to leave the XP style untouched. They won't be perfect but useable with the standard RMXP Tilesets.


What do you think about this idea? Would you be interested in these sprite sheets?


Please give me all the hate - err I mean love that I deserve.

Therein lies a large part of the problem. Publishing the sprite sheets you asked for will be the act that casts the mighty spell Summon Copyright Lawyer, and doom the forum to Legal Limbo for an unspeakable amount of time.

But seriously, though - the moment that thing is published, even for free, it's no longer for personal use, and GW does, last I checked, have a reputation for being litigious bastards.

Well then there's no way to do that without creating some serious copyright issues, when they're jumping on everything that smells like it's from their universe.
