Hello all! ChaoticLapras here.

I'm making a boulder pushing puzzle game at the moment, just to help with devblock. I've been working on a feature that is done entirely with events, which needs regeneration for you to push. You can push five times without regeneration, and it takes five seconds to regenerate five points.

When my pushing variable is added to, is there a way to have it wait five seconds but still allow the player to move, before continuing the event processing, by subtracting one again?

Many, many thanks,

ChaoticLapras

it is one of the possible trigger settings for events.
I suggest you stop working on your game for a few days and use that time to explore the editor, clicking on every button and checking every list or selection - you should have seen the option "parallel process" dozens of times if you make more complex events with changing triggers...

The link in my signature might also help in learning the program's options.

Heh thanks. I spent some time googling before you posted this too, and I think I worked it out. It's a process that starts when the player enters the room, parallel to any other events, and not interfering with the player (unless you tell it to).

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
