EDIT:
-the plugins are organized and updated
-tried using region restrictions on both walls/ceiling/terrain with no use

Hello there.

I'm using normal tileset, the tiles are marked with X so they should be impassable, but I can still walk through them, although only in certain spaces that I indicated in the picture.
I tried using yanfly region restriction plugin, but with no success.

Any ideas? Thanks in advancerpg.png

Those are ceiling tiles, and you don't have a wall. Ceiling tiles can be accessed from below, but not from the sides or above. Their passability doesn't depend on X's and O's.

Either put that tile into an A2 slot and mark it as X, or put in a wall.

Changing the tileset makes it buggy af. I select the tile and spread it and it keeps changing between the wall and the ceiling part of the 1x2 tile.

Is there another way around it?

Edit: I've heard about invisible events blocking passage, would that work?

Edit 2: I mean, I know it would work, but how much do these event weigh on the performance?

You could fill up your map with invisible events and make it laggy, or you can figure out what's causing the problem and fix it. Personally I'd do the latter.

You are using a ceiling tile as a wall tile. Why not go out on a limb and use a wall tile as a wall tile? ;)

You are having issues because you're using a tile with a specific purpose, for the wrong purpose. You've got to use a tile that's designated as a wall tile.

re your edit 2: if there were only a few events, it's a valid strategy. But you're talking more than just a few events. Seriously - if you really, really want to use that tile, copy the tileset image to a new version, copy those particular tiles, and paste them over an existing wall tile that you don't want to use, then use that wall tile instead. The passability will just work the way it's supposed to, without you inventing all sorts of ways to overcome the problem you've introduced.

Also, if you tried using Yanfly's region restriction plugin but it wasn't working, you must have set it up incorrectly. Lots of people use that plugin with no issues. So if you want to go that way, post a screenshot of the plugin manager, the plugin parameters, and the map with the regions visible, and someone will help you out with that.

Is there an event somewhere that changes the player character to Through? If you somehow left that on, It's what's most likely causing it.

@OmnislashXX no, the tiles that the OP used are intended to be passable by default, he just misunderstood what they are for and mistook them for wall tiles.

Hello, sorry for delay.
I don't see what's wrong with the plug-in, it's the latest version and it's under the core (also latest version).
Region Restriction is somewhat in the middle, core is at the topSchermata 2018-12-22 alle 16.48.06.png Schermata 2018-12-22 alle 16.48.11.png Schermata 2018-12-22 alle 16.48.02.png

@Ordaricc
1) wrong order of yanfly plugins.
Yanfly's plugins are required to be ordered exactly as in his list on his website, or they will result in more or less random malfunctions.
2) as already said above, the tiles you are using are walkable by intent - they should never be used for walls because they are NOT impassable. the better solution is to replace them with correct wall tiles, because the ceiling tiles are there to simulate a two-level-dungeon by enabling a player to walk on the top of the walls.

Reorganized the plugins, still doesn't work.
I've also tried using the region restriciton on normal terrain, still no effect.

then you have an incompatibility in your plugins that prevents the region restriction to work, and your best bet to solve this is the other option we gave you: to change the map in a way that you have real walltiles.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
