For no apparent reason, my game has decided that the walls of my dungeon are completely nonexistent. I've made sure they're set to X in the passage settings. They should be completely solid. I can't figure out how to change it back.

Been a lonnnnnnnnng time since I used XP so ill just take a stab in the dark here but I think I remember something like if you put an "X" tile over an "O" tile then it uses the O. So maybe make sure that's not going on and I'm sure someone more familiar with XP will come along.

Normally my first guess would be that you've used a blank tile with an O passage setting to draw over the entire map, or a large part of it, on a higher layer. But I don't see any blank tiles on the tileset, including in the autotiles.

So I am thinking you've either done something to turn THROUGH on for the player and possibly all the events as well (as it looks like they're also able to walk through the walls), or that you've added a script or made a script change that is causing it.

Hm. I tried making the transparent background tile X, but that prevented me from moving at all... if I did somehow turn on THROUGH, how exactly would I go about checking for that and turning it off?

I did notice it was only happening with this tileset. The others don't seem to suffer from this problem.

you've got that wall tile in the lower right corner of the tileset - row 7, column 8 - that has an O. Is that it?

I tried making the transparent background tile X
What transparent background tile? I don't see any. In any case, putting an X on a tile is not going to solve the problem. The 'erase' tile is the very first one, and that shouldn't have a colour in it. You should never use any other tiles to erase.

If you do have any completely transparent tiles, except the very first one beside the 7 autotiles, make them red. That will quickly show if you've painted the map with the wrong tile on any layer.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
