Well.... I feel like a noob asking this, and I'm sure it's been asked before but I can't find the answer xD
Basically, when I have a sideways staircase which actually goes up and down like this:
(This is not my screenshot I just found it)
My character just wants to waltz right into the side of the stairs, and doesn't go up and down (as you might expect in this game engine) so I was wondering, Is there some way you can make people go up and down stairs? Some way in which their character automatically gets bumped up a tile when they start going up or something?

Quick tip for any other ametuer pixel artists! When trying to create a colour palette, enabling Antialiasing can speed up the process of creating different shades! Just place your lightest colour and your darkest colour next to each other, select both pixels, and stretch it out!
