Well uh... Hello there! As you're probably aware I'm new to the RPG Maker scene (otherwise I wouldn't be posting here), since I'm posting in this forum and all. I've decided to jump into the hobby of game design after deciding that I well... need a new hobby and don't want to be a slave to MMORPGs anymore.
Anywho, my name is Ashley, I'm twenty-five years old and a mother of one. I'm an avid otaku and somewhat of a cosplayer when I can get costumes within my price range or have the time to make my own. I consider myself to be more or less a friendly person, so feel free to drop me a message if you want to poke me, or just chat casually.
You're likely to see me in the IRC chat as well.
As I said before, I'm new to RPG Maker, but I've had a lot of fun playing with it over the last few days. I'm currently experimenting with an action battle system script and have ambitions to make a nice little game or two.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
