Hello All! I have mixed feelings about reporting this bug, but Mako likes to be helpful and I will make the most of the warning.

When making a post a get a 'confirm warning screen' seemingly at random. Now in IPB 3.3 I thought you only had to click this once. In this case it happens very randomly. Most annoying thing about this issue is that I made a long post (or at least attempted to) for GPU setting in IG maker. So had me confirm (as usual) and redirected me back to the thread! with nothing written.

Other times it doesn't even ask me at all. So a quick fix to those of you affected is copy your whole post before hitting the post button. An extra step I know, a habit I'm not accustom to. But a necessary one none the less.

***

I hang around the IPB main forum all the time, it seems this is a brand new feature in 3.3.

***

It's not getting the best of praise, in-fact 3.4 is coming soon if one of the dev's is to be believed. :)

... Yeah that is weird.

I'll make sure its looked into.

As a temporary measure SOLELY to keep this from being a hindrance to you, I'm going to remove your one warn point. Keep in mind that in my head, that warn point is still there, so if you get warned for something before the 2nd, you are getting two warn points.

You didn't have to do that but thanks! 2 it is.

But that also means I can be of no more use on this subject. :( I'll go find something else to occupy myself.

EDIT: I know this sound weird but you could just turn off the confirmation setting instead of remove the warning...

"Acknowledgements

Another additional feature is the option to require that all members "acknowledge" their warnings. If enabled, after a user is issued a warning, they will not be able to post again until they acknowledge it. When they click the reply button, they will be shown a screen like this:"

Just untick the box and re-warn me. God I'm strange. LOL

Can I get a quick run down of what browser you are using etc? It could help us possibly narrow down problems.

Better question is what don't I use. But in this case it's mostly waterfox. With some add-ons.

Does the same thing happen if you use another browser?
Dunno. I'm not even getting it now! Somebody fixed it. Or my warning description is gone.

We've warned tons of people and this is the first time this has been reported, so I doubt it's the system. Strange. There's an update coming that I need to apply soon anyways, so we'll wait and see.

Removing that feature sounds ideal...it feels sort of off putting.

I can't say I agree with you on that, really. I think it serves a good purpose.. To make users actually acknowledge their warns. But if it continues being problematic then yes, it'll be temporarily disabled until it's confirmed to be "fixed" (if it's even a problem on OUR end)

Well at a glance it looks like it's part of the system It's only inconvenience is retyping the message. But in hindsight it's probably the browser. Last I checked waterfox was 0.00001 percent of all browser usage! LOL

Again, you're the only person to report it, so no, it actually doesn't look like the system, it looks like your browser. Disregard. I understand what you meant now.

And I'm not seeing where you're getting your facts for this:

It's not getting the best of praise, in-fact 3.4 is coming soon if one of the dev's is to be believed.
In fact, I'm seeing the exact opposite of this..And I too hang around on the IPB forums quite a bit ;)

Touch said he could remove your warn because you are having problems with it. I'd try a different browser, and report back. I'm curious to see your results.

getting your facts for this
In my statement it was just in passing on the IPB forums. Nothing is 'fact' until it's released.

In fact, I'm seeing the exact opposite of this..
Dunno how you could see the opposite of this since IPB itself has updated in the last few months three different times (3.3.0/3.3.1/3.3.3) since this IS a fairly new feature it makes sense why you haven't been getting reports. :p Be kinda weird someone reporting a feature that isn't available.

EDIT: Nope no conformation.

Yeah, 3.3 has been out for a bit, however, IP.Board 3.3.3 was released in June, 12th to be exact.

Ahh! They have fixed tons of warning issues in 3,3.3! You must upgrade. That explains it.

**

Tons and tons of fix's! Good luck!

...Yes I already have a time planned to upgrade. As of a few days ago... So... There is no point in keeping this thread open if your issue is "resolved". So.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
