@Mooshry, did that happen (and if so, where?), or are you just being careful? Because "Cooking story" is an app and, really, it is a rather bland name to be copyrighted.

Can you prove that the existing material is yours? Because if it's just an idea and doesn't exist as concrete evidence, then an idea is all it is, and it's fair game, if I'm not mistaken.

So if you have PROOF that you created this cooking story thing and it exists, screenshot it and dispute it.

Well until OP says something more about it, my best guess is that he had someone beta test his game(s) for him and they decided to claim they made them?

The robber is....... my cousin. And it happened during a talk over who will make the game, we both settled on that she would make it, but her sprites had a blue background so i secretly made it in VX because i didn't have anything to remove the Blue Background with. And now she wants me to cancel this or she will make it herself, with the characters and all!

It was for MV. I switched to VX. And the sprites are sideview.

Ideas can't be copyrighted at all, only the entire implementations (the games).


So basically you two are making two independent games that are based on the same idea - nothing to it, nothing to prevent and nothing to change.


I suggest you both finish the games independently and then you'll see that they will have become two different games during the development process.

She also said she would copy Legend of Chipi. A game i've had in my mind for years. Now she claims she'll make it as wel. Exactly how i might make it.

Saying and doing are two completely different things.  If she can't even come up with her own ideas, I highly doubt she's going to get very far with implementing someone else's idea.  Also, again, a game you have had in mind for years is not going to be anything like a game she makes off some information you've told her.  Stop worrying about what she's doing, and worry about what you're doing (or not doing, because you're preoccupied with this).

It seems neither of you have completed the game yet. It might be a good idea to reconcile with your cousin and work on these games together. Making a game is tough work. It's better to have two people working on it than one. Just co-author it in the credits. Anyway your call, good luck.
