Way to shorten Move Route steps?

Is there a script or some way to shorten a Move Route list?

To note, I've only recently decided to delve into game-makin', so I'm fairly new to this stuff still.

I've made many little events run with Parallel Process just to give a map some "life" with some test projects. But it gets a bit annoyin' to have to scroll through a long list of "move up"s, "move down"s, and such to tweak something in Set Move Route. Is there a script or syntax or something to shorten the list?

I've tried researchin' this topic on my own, but nothing seems to be related to my issue. I may possibly be searchin' with incorrect terms and phrases, even. However, if a solution is nonexistent, then I will bare with long lists.

No. But you should not use a parallel process and Set Move Route just to make an event follow a certain path repeatedly - that WILL cause lag when you have a lot of them doing it.

Use the Autonomous Movement (not sure what it's called in XP - it's to the right of the event graphic), and choose either Random or Custom, and leave your event trigger as Action Button. If you choose Custom, you still have to put in the move route.

Oh, sorry. I didn't make it clear - None of the events are bein' repeated.

For example, one event is just a kid just runnin' around to certain spots and then stop forever - As if the kid is lookin' for something and then gives up. These little humans for these events are always set on Through so they don't get caught on anything like the player, 'cause they have no direct relation to the gameplay itself. The events are just aesthetic.

I personally try not to use Random for humans 'cause humans walkin' around like they're lost looks stupid to me, but I will if I've no other choice.

Also, some of these events include more than one human; That's why I rarely use Custom.

Either way, thank you for answerin' my question. If I had known I'd get a response this quickly, I would've asked here instead of wastin' about 2 hours in failed research.

Thank you~!

haha - yeah sorry then - you're stuck with adding each step individually.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
