Ways to make other party members appear during cutscenes.

Hello there!


So I'm looking for ways to have your party members emerge from the player when a event triggers, like how it's done in final fantasy 6.


I'm trying to avoid having a fade to black when a player reaches an event so it doesn't break the flow of gameplay too much so I'd be willing to hear other alternatives.

you need to use events that pretends to be the actors by using the same sprites.

the placeholder for each actor needs to be teleported to the player position by the event controlling the cutscene, then the page with the sprite needs to be activated by switch and then the event is remotely controlled with leaving the position and so on. don't forget to have it on through during that time.

I use the Follower Control plugin by Tyruswoo.

It provides a few commands to control your party members using the regular event movement commands. With that, it's easy to create some default common events to expand and retract your party for cutscenes.

The method Andar describes will definitely work, but this is much less complicated.

This is helpful but I'm not planning to have followers behind the player, but thank you.


I think I know how to do what Andar is suggesting so I'll try that.

...you don't need to, you'd use the event command to enable player followers, control them via the plugin commands, then use the event command to disable player followers again. All happens within your one event (or a common event), instead of having a bunch of extra events on the map.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
