Weapon Animations not Occurring

Been fiddling around with different weapon types (guns, swords, etc) and have noticed that no matter what animation is selected for the weapon in database, the normal attack option always uses the same animation. It's my understanding that the weapon animation should overwrite whatever the "default" attack animation is; am I incorrect? Or am I just doing something wrong?

the weapon animations are only used when


1) the skill used is set to "normal attack animation"


2) the skill type is NOT set as "magic" in systems tab


3) the weapon type has a motion and an image assigned in the systems tab


4) no plugin overrides the base animations (some plugins do that by default)

Are you talking about animations for the battlers? or for what happens when you attack a monster? We had not intended to use the SV battle style for our game, but when you fire a machine gun, for example, we were under the impression you could make the animation in the attached image the "standard attack" effect.

The only plugins we currently have going are:
HIME_EquipSlotsCore
VE_BasicModule
VE_ElementSet
VE_DamagePopup

(We intend to have more, but these are what we have ATM)

that is a regular animation, not one of the weapon animations. That depends on the skill settings - please post a screenshot of the attack skill you're using.

See the second image...As was stated, it's just the normal preset "Attack" skill...

From the first image, based on the help box that pops up when you hover over Animation" for a particular weapon, it seems as though that weapon's animation (if one is selected) will become the new animation whenever the "Attack" option is used. Is this not correct?

It should display the animation you assign for the weapon.


In your screen, when you equip weapon [0031] it should display the animation [0111] when you use a normal attack.


Is this not happening?

Disable your plugins (or start a new project without any plugins) and see if it works.  Step 1 is determine whether it's a plugin that causes the problem.
